What is AWS Wickr Messaging? (1 minute read)

When your campaign is choosing its encrypted communication platform, one thing to consider is DDC's partner AWS Wickr. It uses end-to-end encryption to protect your data, which secures information on both the recipient and sender’s ends. Wickr allows for centralized management of campaign participants so the campaign sets up who can send and receive information via the platform.

AWS Wickr is a security-first messaging and collaboration service with features designed to help keep your communications secure, private, and compliant. One-to-one and group messaging, voice and video calling, file sharing, screen sharing, and location sharing are protected with end-to-end encryption. No one except intended recipients has access to the keys required to decrypt the content—not even AWS—giving you complete control over your data.

Flexible administrative controls allow your Wickr administrators to add, remove, and invite users, and organize them into security groups to manage messaging, calling, security, and federation settings. Passwords can be reset and profiles can be deleted remotely, helping you reduce the risk of data exposure stemming from a lost or stolen device. You can configure and apply optional data retention to both internal and external communications in a Wickr network, and use Wickr Bots to automate workflows.
