As Tiktok becomes one of the frontrunners in social media campaigning, so has the need to keep your account secure. Find out how in the steps below:

Step 1 - Turn on Passkey

Specific instructions for turning on passkey can be found here, on Tiktok's site.

Step 2- Turn on MFA

Although TikTok doesn’t yet allow the use of a physical security key, you can still turn on MFA. Find out how to do that in their article here: Account Safety.

Step 3- Keep your Contact info Updated

Link your most up to date phone number and/or email address to your TikTok account. Email may be a method of alerting you of any suspicious activity on your account and can be used in confirming your identity if you ever get locked out. Learn how.

Step 4 - Verify your Devices

You can view phones any other mobile devices that are currently using or have recently accessed your TikTok account. This will display all devices associated with your account, how you logged into the account (e.g. Facebook account), and when. Check this information to make sure no one else has signed in to your account. Learn how

More information about how to use your TikTok account for campaigning practices can also be found in this Best Practice Digital article, here
